RURAL ASSET FINANCE
Livestock finance.
Stock-mortgage facilities for cattle and sheep, structured around the trading cycle.
Livestock finance is a product that requires a lender who understands the animal cycle — the timing of purchases, the turn of a trading herd, and the variable value of stock across different markets and seasons. A standard chattel mortgage does not fit livestock.
Clunes works with StockCo, the specialist livestock financier, as well as major bank agribusiness divisions for breeding stock and station cattle. The structure depends on whether the stock is for trading, backgrounding, or breeding.
